How pricing works
We keep pricing simple. Each workspace gets its own plan, so you pay for what you actually use.
There are four tiers — Free, Starter, Pro, and Pro+ — and the main differences come down to how much AI budget you get, which model tiers you can access, and how large your team is. Everything else (chat, file uploads on paid plans, the core platform) works the same everywhere.

Which plan fits you
Free is a real plan, not a trial. You get 5 AI messages per day, file uploads, and the Auto and Fast model tiers. It’s a good way to see how Grantable fits your workflow before committing. The daily limit resets every day — no monthly cliffs.
Starter is built for individual grant writers who need room to work. You get a meaningful AI budget and unlimited file uploads, which matters once you start loading in RFPs, past proposals, and annual reports. If you hit your budget ceiling, you can purchase extra usage to keep going.
Pro unlocks the full platform. The Pro model tier produces noticeably better drafts for complex writing. Scheduled tasks let you automate recurring work like funder monitoring. And deep funder intelligence gives you richer data when you’re evaluating opportunities.
Pro+ is for larger teams that need the most AI capacity and priority support. If your team is writing across multiple grants simultaneously, this is where the budget math starts to make sense.
One plan per workspace
Each workspace has its own subscription. This is intentional — it means you can keep a Free workspace for personal experiments while running a Pro workspace for your team’s active grant work. You’re not forced into one plan for everything.
Monthly and annual billing options are available. Annual billing includes a discount.
Upgrading and downgrading
Change your plan from Settings > Billing > Current Plan. Upgrades take effect immediately — you’re charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing period. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current cycle, so you keep your current plan’s features until then.
Pro tip: Start on Free. You’ll know it’s time to upgrade when you start bumping into the AI budget ceiling regularly. That’s the signal — not a sales pitch.
Nonprofit pricing
Grantable offers a 50% discount on Starter and Pro plans for qualifying nonprofit organizations. The discount applies for 1 year (12 months) and can be renewed.
Who qualifies: 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with an annual operating budget under approximately $500,000.
How to apply: Send your most recent IRS Form 990 to hello@grantable.co and mention you’d like the nonprofit discount. We’ll review your 990, verify your eligibility, and apply the discount to your account.
- Starter: $25/mo (50% off $50/mo)
- Pro: $75/mo (50% off $150/mo)
The discount applies for 12 months from activation. After that, you can renew by sending a current 990 to hello@grantable.co. If you’re already on a paid plan, the discount takes effect on your next billing cycle.
