Email inside your grant workflow
Most grant teams juggle a separate email client alongside their grant tools — forwarding funder emails, copy-pasting updates, losing track of who said what. The Workspace Inbox brings email into the same place where you do your grant work, so correspondence and context live side by side.
When an email arrives, Grantable’s AI reads it in the context of your organization profile, your files, and your conversation history. It can draft a reply, flag action items, or simply organize the message — depending on what makes sense.
Workspace Inbox is available on Pro and Pro+ plans.
Setting up your inbox
- Go to Settings > Inbox
- Follow the setup flow to connect your workspace’s email address
- Incoming emails start appearing in the Inbox tab in your sidebar
Once connected, any emails sent to your workspace address show up in Grantable automatically. You don’t need to forward anything manually.

What happens when an email arrives
Each incoming email is analyzed by the AI, which does a few things automatically:
- Summarizes the message so you can scan your inbox quickly without opening every email
- Tags the conversation by category (funder communication, application update, reporting, etc.) so related threads are easy to find
- Drafts a reply when appropriate, using your organization’s context and Grantable’s knowledge base
You always review before anything is sent. The AI drafts — you decide.
Working with inbox messages
Click any message in the inbox to open the full conversation. From there you can:
- Read the full email with all formatting and attachments preserved
- Review the AI’s suggested reply and edit, approve, or discard it
- Save attachments to your library — click “Add to Library” on any attachment to save it directly to your workspace file library, where the AI can reference it in future conversations
- Reply manually if you’d rather write your own response
- Close the conversation when it’s resolved
How AI replies work
When the AI drafts a reply, it draws on:
- Your organization profile — mission, programs, key staff
- Your workspace files — past proposals, reports, and documents you’ve uploaded
- Help documentation — platform-specific answers when someone asks about Grantable features
- The full email thread — so the reply stays in context
The draft appears in the message view with Confirm and Cancel buttons. Review the draft, make any edits, and confirm to send. Nothing goes out without your explicit approval.

Tip: The better your organization profile and uploaded materials, the more useful the AI’s draft replies become. Run
