Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy (TSHP) is a dynamic professional membership association which serves Texas health-system pharmacy professionals dedicated to the mission, vision, core values, philosophy, soul, spirit, and motto of TSHP. Mission: Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy is a strong and vibrant membership-driven society of pharmacists, technicians, students, and professional colleagues who advocate for optimized patient care, professional practice, and public health. Vision: Leading the pharmacy profession by advancing patient care. TSHP Research and Education Foundation The TSHP R&E Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health outcomes for Texans by funding numerous activities that advance healthcare through pharmacy research and education. The TSHP Research and Education (R&E) Foundation has been advancing health-system pharmacy practice though education, research, and professional development since 1977. Today, the Foundation’s managed assets and cash total around $918,000. TSHP R&E Foundation Scholarships The TSHP Research & Education (R&E) Foundation has been supporting our pharmacy community in Texas since 1977, reminding us of our shared strength in helping one another. Scholarships of $500 to $1,500 are awarded to undergraduate and graduate students. Scholarships from the Foundation are awarded on the basis of financial need, academic ability and career interest. Sidney Phillips Memorial Scholarship The Sidney Phillips Memorial Scholarship was established in 2022 in honor of Sidney Phillips, who was a past President of the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Dr. Phillips served in various leadership positions in TSHP since he was in pharmacy school and was a longtime member whose dedication to the Texas pharmacy profession was actively demonstrated to all who knew him. Dr. Phillips dedicated his career to health system leadership for small and large hospitals. He was also firm believer and supporter of advocacy on all levels.

Eligibility

GPA may be considered in the selection process,Career interest in working a hospital, andBe a full-time pharmacy student at a Texas school or college of pharmacy; preference will be given to students currently enrolled in the Texas Tech University School of Pharmacy.
