Note: No scholarship will be awarded this year (2025) Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy (TSHP) is a dynamic professional membership association which serves Texas health-system pharmacy professionals dedicated to the mission, vision, core values, philosophy, soul, spirit, and motto of TSHP. Mission: Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy is a strong and vibrant membership-driven society of pharmacists, technicians, students, and professional colleagues who advocate for optimized patient care, professional practice, and public health. Vision: Leading the pharmacy profession by advancing patient care. TSHP Research and Education Foundation The TSHP R&E Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health outcomes for Texans by funding numerous activities that advance healthcare through pharmacy research and education. The TSHP Research and Education (R&E) Foundation has been advancing health-system pharmacy practice though education, research, and professional development since 1977. Today, the Foundation’s managed assets and cash total around $918,000. TSHP R&E Foundation Scholarships The TSHP Research & Education (R&E) Foundation has been supporting our pharmacy community in Texas since 1977, reminding us of our shared strength in helping one another. Scholarships of $500 to $1,500 are awarded to undergraduate and graduate students. Scholarships from the Foundation are awarded on the basis of financial need, academic ability and career interest. James T. Doluisio Scholarship The James T. Doluisio Scholarship was established in 1998 and funded in 2001 in honor of the former Dean of The University of Texas College of Pharmacy and Hoechst Roussel Chair, James T. Doluisio. He served as dean for 25 years, 1973-1998. A native of Pennsylvania, and a graduate of Purdue University, Dr. Doluisio came to Texas from the faculty of the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. He is appreciated by former students and colleagues for his great love of the University and pharmacy students. During his tenure he developed the college into one of the top ranked colleges in the United States.
