Overview:
LEEF provides dedicated funding to support Leander ISD's fine arts programs across all grade levels, including art, band, and dance. The foundation works to fill funding gaps across the entire district, especially for campuses that may not have the same fundraising capacity as others. LEEF recognizes that Leander ISD fine arts students are renowned for technical proficiency and artistic excellence.

Program History:

LEEF has been investing in LISD fine arts since 2014

Announced major funding awards at the annual Festival of Bands (October)

Recent Award (October 2023): $14,150

Supported by an anonymous $10,000 donation

Funded programs at all grade levels across all Leander ISD fine arts

Focus Areas:

Elementary Programs (All 29 campuses)

• Art classroom materials (clay and ceramics)
• Creative expression through different mediums
• Support for Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) requirements

Middle School Programs (All 9 middle schools)

• Visual arts classes
• District Art Show support
• Art display and exhibition materials (ProPanels)

High School Programs (All 6 high schools)

• Marching bands support
• Vision dance teams
• Digital drill technology (Ultimate Drill Book software)
• Rehearsal enhancement and efficiency

Student Impact:

Annually place high numbers of talented students in regional, area, state, and national competitions
