CoServ Academic Project Partner (CAPP) Grants

The CoServ Academic Project Partner (CAPP) program is open to campuses in all 23 school districts CoServ serves in North Texas. Proposals are reviewed to ensure alignment with program goals, community impact and available resources, per Stephani Mohon, CoServ's Academic Initiatives Specialist. All CAPP projects must serve a clear educational or community purpose, be consistent with CoServ's mission and core values, and be reviewed and approved by a CoServ committee. CoServ funds and delivers the requested items directly — in the example cited, CoServ purchased most of the items for a new STEM lab at Little Elm Elementary (3D printer, laser cutter, portable makerspace cart, learning activity bins and science kits) and had them delivered to the campus, serving about 450 students in its first school year. Educators are directed to visit CoServ.com/CAPP to learn about the program and how to submit a project.
