Innovative Teaching Grants

Crosby Education Foundation Innovative Teaching Grants fund creative instructional approaches and best practices that raise student learning in Crosby ISD, Texas. Up to $1,500 is awarded to a programme or project initiated by an individual teacher, and up to $5,000 to one initiated by a team of teachers. The number of awards depends on the funds available.

Individuals or teams employed by Crosby ISD who are involved in the instruction of students are eligible. Eligible proposals are instructional approaches or projects designed to begin by the semester after the grant is awarded, and grants may fund instructional and classroom materials or any activity or material that supports higher student academic achievement. Projects should enhance student academic performance and support the objectives, goals and initiatives of the District or Campus Improvement Plan.

Selection weighs how well the grant supports district and school board goals, campus improvement plans or a specific quantifiable learning need identified in campus or district data; how directly students benefit; whether sound evaluation procedures with measurable indicators of success are built in; how creative or innovative the approach is; and how clear and logical the proposal is, with attainable measurable goals and a clear description of instructional methods.
