Carrs Foundation - Seattle Grant

The Carrs Foundation in Seattle offers support for nonprofit organizations that align with its mission of strengthening local communities. This biannual grant prioritizes health services, education, hunger relief, and inclusion for all abilities. Eligible organizations must have a valid 501(c)(3) status and serve the community in which they operate. The foundation is committed to inclusivity and does not fund for-profit entities, religious organizations for religious purposes, or advocacy groups.

Note: We review applications biannually – in January and July. At the close of the application process, it typically takes us at least 2 WEEKS to review and get back to you.

Eligibility

We only support organizations with a valid 501(c)(3) designation from the IRS and schools recognized by the government.Organizations we fund must serve the community where we operate. To learn more about our operating area, please view our online map.A nondiscrimination policy will be requested of all applicants.Our Foundation does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services.

Fundraising dinners, galas, and events. We generally do not sponsor these events because the sponsorship is not fully deductible and because we prefer that our funds go directly to program services rather than offsetting event expenses.
