Albertsons Foundation - Southwest Grant

The Albertsons Foundation - Southwest supports nonprofit organizations that enhance local communities in the Southwest, focusing on health, hunger, education, veterans, and diversity. Grants typically range from $1,000 to $5,000 for first-time applicants, with higher amounts considered for established organizations. Eligible applicants must have a valid 501(c)(3) designation and serve the community. The foundation does not fund individuals, political or religious organizations, or events.

Outside of a specific RFP, a first-time funded organization will typically receive a grant of $1,000 to $5,000. Once we have some history with an organization, we will entertain a request at a higher value.

Eligibility

Southwest includes the following areas Las Vegas/Henderson, Arizona, New Mexico, El Paso, Durango, CO., St. George, UTWe only support organizations with a valid 501(c)(3) designation from the IRS and schools recognized by the government.Organizations we fund must serve the community where we operate.To learn more about our operating area, view our online map at Albertsons.com.All applications in California, Hawaii and Reno-area Nevada require an employee sponsor.A nondiscrimination policy will be requested of all applicants.

Ineligibility

Although we would love to help everyone, the Foundation generally does not fund:Individuals or for-profit organizationsPolitical organizations or activitiesReligious organizations for religious purposesCapital or building campaignsAdvocacy programsMeetings, conferences or workshopsSports teams or athletic competitionsOther foundations or granting organizationsFundraising dinners, galas, and events. We generally do not sponsor these events because the sponsorship is not fully deductible and because we prefer that our funds go directly to program services rather than offsetting event expenses.
