Overview

Albertsons Companies and Vons Foundations funds organizations that strengthen the neighborhoods we serve. We support nonprofit organizations whose mission is aligned with our priority areas: Health and Human Services Hunger Youth and Education Veterans Supporting Diversity and Inclusion of All Abilities Outside of a specific RFP, a first-time funded organization will typically receive a grant of $1,000 to $5,000. Once we have some history with an organization, we will entertain a request at a higher value. Our Foundation does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, hiring, and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services. Ineligibility

Although we would love to help everyone, the Foundation generally does not fund:Individuals or for-profit organizationsPolitical organizations or activitiesReligious organizations for religious purposesCapital or building campaignsAdvocacy programsMeetings, conferences or workshopsSports teams or athletic competitionsOther foundations or granting organizationsFundraising dinners, galas, and events. We generally do not sponsor these events because the sponsorship is not fully deductible and because we prefer that our funds go directly to program services rather than offsetting event expenses.
