The Zonta Club of Denver awards scholarships to young women demonstrating exceptional leadership in their schools and communities.
Geographic Scope: Zonta International District/Region (District 12 includes Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and South Dakota)
Award Amount:
- Club level: $1,000
- District/International level: up to $5,000 additional
- District/International winner announced July 1
Eligibility:
- Age: Must be 16-19 years old on April 1 of award year
- Status: Studying at a secondary school, college, or university in a Zonta district/region
Selection Criteria - Evaluated for:
- Active commitment to volunteerism
- Support of Zonta International's mission to empower women worldwide through service and advocacy
- Experience in local government, student government, or workplace leadership (paid or unpaid)
- Volunteer leadership achievements
- Knowledge of Zonta International and its programs
