Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award

The Zonta Club of Denver awards this scholarship to recognize young women leaders in their school and community.

Award Amount: $1,000 from Zonta Club of Denver. Winners can also be considered for additional $5,000 at district/international level (announced July 1).

Geographic Scope: Open to students studying in a Zonta district/region. Zonta Club of Denver is in District 12, comprising 19 clubs in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and South Dakota.

Eligibility:

Must be 16-19 years old on April 1st of the award year
Must be studying at a secondary school, college, or university in a Zonta district/region

Evaluation Criteria:

Active commitment to volunteerism
Support of Zonta International's mission to empower women worldwide through service and advocacy
Experience in local government, student government, or workplace leadership (paid or unpaid)
Volunteer leadership achievements
Knowledge of Zonta International and its programs
