Union Plus Scholarship Program

Overview: The Union Plus Scholarship Program provides scholarships to union members, their spouses, and dependent children to help fund educational expenses.

Geographic Scope: United States

Eligibility:

  • Union members

  • Spouses of union members

  • Dependent children of union members

  • No requirement to participate in a Union Plus credit card program to be eligible

  • Must be accepted into an accredited college or university, community college, recognized technical or trade school, or graduate school at the time the award is issued

  • Graduate school students are also eligible
  • Award Information:

  • Total awards available: $150,000 annually

  • Individual award amounts vary

  • Program has distributed over $2.8 million since 1992

    - Indicate that you are a member of the Boilermakers union

  • Essay (maximum 500 words)

  • Proof of acceptance to eligible educational institution

  • Must explain why applicant deserves a union scholarship
