Financial assistance grants for Union Plus credit card holders experiencing job loss, strikes, furloughs, or other financial hardships.

Geographic Scope: United States

Job Loss Grants

• Must hold a Union Plus credit card
• Must have been out of work for 90 days or longer
• May apply up to 12 months after job loss date (previously 6 months)
• Provides $250 one-time grant

Strike/Lockout Grants

• Must hold a Union Plus credit card
• Must be on strike or locked out for 30 or more consecutive days
• Provides $250 payment made directly to Union Plus credit card account

Furlough Grants

• Must hold a Union Plus credit card
• Applicant or spouse must have been furloughed for 15 days or more within a 6-month period
• Provides $250 one-time payment to Union Plus credit card account

Program History:

• Since program inception, more than 900 Union Plus cardholders have received $225,000 in grants
• Program was expanded in 2011 to allow up to 12 months for job loss applications
• Additional hardship grants added for strikes and furloughs
