In recognition of former CEO/General Manager Bob Alderson (CEO 1977-2000), the Boone Electric Community Trust awards scholarships annually in May.

One scholarship available to graduating seniors from each of the following high schools:

Centralia High School

Harrisburg High School

Hickman High School

Rock Bridge High School

Southern Boone High School

Sturgeon High School

Fr. Tolton High School

At-Large Scholarships (2 scholarships)

Available to students currently attending or returning to college

No geographic restriction mentioned

Homeschooled/Private School Applicants (1 scholarship)

Available to students who are homeschooled and/or attend private school (other than Fr. Tolton)
