Post-Secondary Scholarships

Geographic Scope: Mahtomedi Public Schools students only

Eligibility:

• Mahtomedi Public Schools students in their senior year
• Various scholarships available with specific criteria

Purpose: Support students attending post-secondary institutions through scholarships funded by generous donations from individuals and families

Notification: All students selected as scholarship recipients will be notified by the Mahtomedi High School Counseling Office in early May. Scholarships will be awarded at the Senior Scholarship Night.

Additional Scholarships: Other scholarships are also available through the Mahtomedi High School Counseling Office

Application Process

1. Download the 2025-2026 MAEF Scholarships Application Checklist
2. Complete the MAEF Scholarship Application 2025-2026 (for most scholarships)
3. Submit letters of recommendation (complete form to upload or email to scholarships@maefgives.org)
   • Label all files and email subject lines with student's first and last name followed by "Letter of Recommendation"
   • All letters must be received by the deadline
4. For MAEF Community and Technical Scholarship applicants: complete the MAEF Community and Technical Application instead
5. For American Legion Scholarship returning applicants (college freshmen): complete the American Legion Scholarship Application for Previous Recipients only

Important Notes

• Incomplete applications will not be considered
• An application is not complete until all supporting documentation has been submitted
• Applications will not be accepted after the deadline
• Applications are best completed using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
