Overview
The Crime Prevention Fund awards Continuing Education Award scholarships of $1,000 to graduating high school students in its service area west of Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota. Two $1,000 scholarships go to the Orono High School scholarship program and two $1,000 scholarships to the Westonka High School scholarship program, so two students from each school are selected each year.
The scholarship programme began with a donation from Steve Anderson Sr. in memory of his mother, Gloria Anderson, and has grown through Crime Prevention Fund donors. The award helps new high school graduates begin their continuing education.

Apply through your high school's scholarship programme — the Crime Prevention Fund makes its scholarships available through the Orono High School and Westonka High School scholarship programmes rather than through a separate application. Ask your school counsellor for that programme's application and timeline. Questions can go to the Crime Prevention Fund at PO Box 42, Crystal Bay, MN 55323.
