Overview

Nursing & Continuing Medical Education Scholarships

Purpose: Provides scholarships to Rhode Island residents pursuing healthcare careers with a focus on nursing and medical education.

Geographic Scope: Rhode Island only

Eligible Applicants:

  • High school seniors pursuing a healthcare major who have been accepted to accredited institutions

  • Students currently enrolled in accredited institutions with majors in nursing, certified nursing assistant (CNA), or master's degree programs

  • Students pursuing the following career paths:

  • - Physician's Assistant
    - Dental Hygienist
    - Pharmacy Technician
    - Nurse Anesthetist
    - CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)
    - Phlebotomist
    - Other healthcare advanced training

    Requirements:

  • Permanent Rhode Island resident (MUST requirement)

  • Demonstrated financial need

  • Maintain 3.0 (B) average or above

  • Submit FAFSA form
  • Preference: Given to students studying at Rhode Island institutions
