NICF: Miami County Grants - Micro Grant

The NICF Micro Grant program offers funding up to $2,000 for projects in Miami County, Indiana, with no application deadlines. Target areas include education, health, arts, environmental initiatives, and community development. The program prioritizes projects that reach underserved communities and foster collaboration. However, it does not support ongoing operating budgets or projects solely funded by the foundation. This initiative aims to stimulate innovative solutions to community needs, encouraging self-sustainability and effective charitable organizations.

We are the Northern Indiana Community Foundation (NICF), consisting of Starke, Fulton, and Miami County Community Foundations—three of ninety-two throughout Indiana.
NICF Micro Grants: For grant requests that are $2,500 and under. There is no deadline associated with these grants.

Eligibility

The geographic area served is Miami County and the communities thereof.

Ineligibility

The community foundation places a lower priority on the following: Projects where the Miami County Community Foundation is the sole funder. Grants to any organization for the purpose of maintaining an ongoing operating budget or for public schools.The foundation will not consider grants for:Religious organizations for the sole purpose of furthering that religion.This prohibition does not apply to funds created by donors who have specifically designated religious organizations as beneficiaries of the funds.Political activities or those designated to influence legislation. National organizations (unless the monies are to be used solelyto benefit citizens of Miami County). Grants that directly benefit the donor or the donor’s family. Contributions to endowments, except in the case of Sustainability Awards.
