General Grants Program

The Pacers Foundation invests in Indiana-based 501(c)(3) organizations working to create brighter futures for young people by improving education, health, and safety.

Geographic Scope: Indiana statewide

Focus Areas:

• Education
• Health
• Safety

Award Information:

• Up to $25,000 in funding per grant
• Majority of grantees receive $10,000 or less
• $22 million+ awarded to Indiana nonprofits since founding

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be Indiana-based 501(c)(3) organizations
• Have work that aligns with education, health, or safety
• Demonstrate a strong track record of community collaboration
• Preference given to organizations with proven record of collaborating with other nonprofits, government agencies, and community stakeholders

What is NOT Funded:

• General operating expenses or administrative support
• Capital campaigns, endowments, or annual giving campaigns
• Infrastructure improvements
• Event sponsorships or advertising
• Equipment donations

• Organizations that are denied may reapply the following year
• Organizations may be considered for another grant in their next fiscal year

Step One: Submit Interest Form

Interest Form Deadlines (Quarterly):

• Quarter 1: September 15
• Quarter 2: December 15
• Quarter 3: March 17
• Quarter 4: June 16

Process:

• Submit Interest Form via online link
• Foundation reviews all Interest Forms following each deadline
• Applicants will be contacted in the days following deadline
• Submission of Interest Form does not guarantee funding
• Encouraged to submit as early as possible

Step Two: Submit Full Application (if invited)

Application Deadlines:

• September 29
• December 31
• March 31
• June 30

Process:

• Only invited applicants submit full application
• Pacers Foundation Board of Directors reviews all invited applications
• Board determines final grant amounts
