NICF: Impact Grants

The NICF: Impact Grants support projects over $25,000, requiring a Letter of Intent for application. While no deadline exists, it prioritizes initiatives in education, health, human services, arts, culture, environment, community development, recreation, and youth development in Miami County. The foundation favors projects that meet unmet community needs, stimulate additional funding, and promote cooperation. However, it deprioritizes ongoing budget maintenance, religious activities, and projects solely benefitting the donor.

For projects over $25,000. The first part of the application process is to complete the Letter of Intent portion of the application. Applicants will be notified if they’re approved to move forward with their proposal or if the project was denied. There is no deadline associated with these grants

Eligibility

The geographic area served is Miami County and the communities thereof.

Ineligibility

The community foundation places a lower priority on the following:Projects where the Miami County Community Foundation is the sole funder.Grants to any organization for the purpose of maintaining an ongoing operating budget or for public schoolsThe foundation will not consider grants for: Religious organizations for the sole purpose of furthering that religion. This prohibition does not apply to funds created by donors who have specifically designated religious organizations as beneficiaries of the funds.Political activities or those designated to influence legislation.National organizations (unless the monies are to be used solelyto benefit citizens of Miami County).Grants that directly benefit the donor or the donor’s family.Contributions to endowments, except in the case of Sustainability Awards.
