Overview
Music Leaders Scholarship
Award Amount: Up to $2,000 annually
Focus: Supporting student leaders in music ensembles
- Open to new incoming students
- Must maintain enrollment in a major ensemble (University Band or The Lakeland Choir)
- Must meet ONE of the following requirements: 1. Satisfactorily perform in a competitive audition before enrolling (refer to "What should I prepare for my audition?" section) 2. Perform in an honors ensemble - participate in a recognized conference, regional, or state honors ensemble selected by audition or director recommendation 3. Attend a Lakeland University Music Camp as a high school student and place into top ensemble in their area
Eligibility
- Award is renewable as long as recipient maintains enrollment in major ensemble

Application Process
1. Apply for Music Department Scholarships through your Future Muskie Portal
2. Select an audition time through the portal (if meeting Requirement 1)
3. Prepare audition materials OR provide documentation of honors ensemble participation OR evidence of Music Camp attendance and placement
4. Complete audition before Music Department faculty (if required)
