Music Honors Scholarship
Award Amount: Up to $3,000 annually
Focus: Supporting high-achieving music students
- Open to all students (no class restriction specified)
- Must perform a satisfactory audition for Music faculty OR be recognized as a winner for John Michael Kohler Arts Center Senior Honors Recital
- Must maintain enrollment in a major ensemble (University Band or The Lakeland Choir)
- Must maintain enrollment either in applied lessons OR a second ensemble
Eligibility
- Award is renewable as long as recipient maintains enrollment requirements
- Limited number of scholarships awarded annually

Application Process
1. Apply for Music Department Scholarships through your Future Muskie Portal
2. Select an audition time through the portal
3. Prepare audition materials (refer to audition requirements)
4. Complete audition before Music Department faculty OR submit documentation of John Michael Kohler Arts Center Senior Honors Recital win
Audition Requirements
Band Competitive Audition:
Vocal Competitive Audition:
- Vocal auditions require an accompanist (pre-recorded accompaniments not allowed)
- Bring your own accompanist or request one from the Music Department (at no charge)
- Submit legible copies of audition music 2 weeks prior to audition date if requesting departmental accompanist
