The William E. Gribbon Memorial Award for Student Travel Grant

The William E. Gribbon Memorial Award for Student Travel, established by the American Musical Instrument Society, aims to support college and university students attending the Society's annual meetings. Eligible applicants include current students or recent graduates with degrees completed within six months of the conference. The award offers a one-year student membership and financial assistance for travel and lodging expenses, as determined by the Gribbon Committee based on submitted estimates.

The award consists of a student membership for one year and substantial financial support for travel and lodging in an amount determined by the Gribbon Committee, based upon an itemized estimate of all of the applicant’s meeting-related expenses.

Eligibility

All applicants must be either: enrolled as a student in an accredited institution, part or full time, as of the first day of the scheduled AMIS conference or a recent graduate, with completion of degree dated no more than six months before the first day of the scheduled AMIS conference.Applicants can receive the Gribbon Award a maximum of three times.
