MCACA Bus Grants

Funder: Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA)

Geographic Scope: Michigan K-12 schools statewide

Purpose: Support transportation costs for Michigan K-12 schools to conduct arts or culture-related field trips.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be accredited Michigan PreK-12 educational institutions, including public schools, non-public schools, private schools, home schools, school districts, intermediate school districts/regional educational service agencies, or accredited Head Start programs

  • Field trip must take place between October 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021 (note: dates from source document)

  • One grant per educational institution

  • Primary contact must be a certified teacher leading the field trip

  • Trip must have specific dates

  • Transportation estimates must be included with application
  • Ineligible Activities:

  • Student competitions and performances (band festivals, choir, theatre tours)

  • Private/personal transportation costs (parent cars)
