Overview
Latino Scholarship Program
Organization: Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber
Purpose: To provide support and encourage Latino students to continue their higher education through annual scholarship awards to qualifying applicants.
Geographic Scope: Oregon and Clark County, Washington
Program History: To date, the Hispanic Chamber has awarded over $3.2 million in scholarships to over 1,237 Hispanic students in Oregon and SW Washington.
General Eligibility Requirements
- Heritage: Applicant must be of Hispanic ancestry
- Residency: Permanently residing in Oregon or Clark County, Washington
- Education Status: Currently attending a high school in Oregon or Clark County, Washington, OR have attended a high school in Oregon or Clark County, Washington and currently enrolled in an accredited college
- Academic Performance: Minimum 3.0 GPA as evidenced by high school or college transcript
- Enrollment: Must be enrolled by September 2026 in an accredited community college, 4-year college or university, or accredited graduate degree program
- Special Note: First Generation Students & DACA recipients are encouraged to apply

Awards Range: $2,000 – $6,000 per recipient
2025 Awards: A total of $114,000 was awarded to 32 students on May 23rd, 2025, during the Chamber's annual Scholarship Award Luncheon
