Juneau Hope Endowment / CBJ Social Service Grant Program

Background: The Juneau Hope Endowment was established in September 2014 to support 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and government agencies providing programs and services in the Juneau community. In 2015, the City & Borough of Juneau began adding their social service block grant funds to the Hope Fund grant program, creating a combined funding mechanism.

      Fund Expenditure

      Reporting Requirements

    1. Foundation reviews LOI submissions
    2. Foundation contacts organizations with questions or requests for additional information
    3. Follow-up conversations discuss how proposal aligns with funding priorities developed through Listen & Learn sessions and available funding
    4. Organizations invited to attend Listen & Learn Sessions (January & February 2026, dates and venues TBD)

    #### Step 3: Full Application Submission
    1. Complete 2026 Grant Application (available as PDF fillable form or Word fillable form)
    2. Submit by Friday, March 6, 2026, by 6:00 p.m.

      Reporting Requirements (Post-Award)

      Narrative Report (2-page limit)
    • Organization name, project contact, and contact info
    • Reporting period and indication of Interim or Final report
    • Description of modifications to proposed activities, reasons, and implications
    • Number of people served
    • Discussion of what worked/didn't work, difficulties encountered, recommendations
    • Minimum two stories highlighting people who benefitted from services with pictures
    • List of press releases sent and where sent

    Financial Report

  • Accounting of project income and expense formatted to show budget, actual, and remaining balance

  • Short narrative explaining any budget changes or items of note

  • Statement affirming funds used solely for intended purpose, signed by responsible person

  • Time period covered (through end of December for interim; end of June for August final reports)
  • Report Submission Deadlines
