ABNY Foundation Grant Program

Geographic Scope: Five boroughs of New York City

Funder: The ABNY Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) organization

Funding Priority Areas:

Economic Opportunity

• Programs that focus on career training, prioritizing tangible skill or accreditation at program completion
• Programs that support small businesses, entrepreneurships, and vibrant commercial districts

Civic Engagement

• Initiatives that remove barriers to civic participation by increasing civic literacy and dialogue
• Cultivating the next generation of civic leaders

Award Amount: $10,000 per grant

Eligibility Requirements

• Be a small or mid-size non-profit with 50 employees or less
• Provide direct services within the 5 boroughs of New York City
• Be designated under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code OR possess Fiscal Sponsorship from a registered 501(c)(3) organization
• For-profit organizations are NOT eligible
• Grantees may receive awards for a maximum of three consecutive years
• Previous grantees with three consecutive awards must wait one year before becoming eligible for a new award

Grantee Benefits

In addition to the $10,000 grant award, grantees receive:

• Annual Spirit of ABNY Awards reception access

Application Deadlines: May 31 and October 31 annually

Award Decision Dates: June 30 and November 30 respectively
