John A. and Marlene L. Boll Foundation

The John A. and Marlene L. Boll Foundation is a private family foundation that was created in the early 1980's by John A. and Marlene L. Boll. We are so grateful for the way God has richly blessed our family and our labor in the business realm. As we sought to be faithful stewards of the resources entrusted to our care, we established the Foundation to provide charitable assistance to deserving organizations that share our values and are seeking to make a difference in our community.

The Boll Legacy

John and Marlene Boll have experienced great blessing and success through their business ventures and lifelong stewardship and investment practices. With gratitude and humility they have always sought to give back to the communities of which they have been a part by supporting education, the arts, and health services.

John and Marlene have provided opportunities to those who have not experienced the advantages afforded to them, and have reached out with generosity and love in response to their own overwhelming sense of gratitude to God for His provision.

Funding Priorities

Moral and Spiritual

We have seen the rewards of service expressed in the smiles of children, the beauty of art, and the fellowship of community, and the provision of God who sustains all things. While there are many worthy charitable projects that cover a multitude of interests and needs, we have chosen to concentrate on the following three areas to provide the maximum possible effectiveness of the Foundation's resources:

* The encouragement of Moral and Spiritual Values;
* The promotion of Educational Values;
* Community Enrichment.

We desire to have an impact on our world by addressing the complex moral, ethical and spiritual challenges faced by individuals living in modern culture. The hope that anchors our family is in Jesus Christ, and so we reach out to others through various Christian ministries that can bring His life-changing love and message to others.

For children and young people, we hope to provide Christian guidance for a better future. For families, we strive to create an everlasting bond through faith-building activities. For the community, we assist Christian ministries that promote the development of moral and spiritual values through programs that meet a wide range of needs including youth camps, relief for the needy and Christian education.

The Foundation is inclined toward non-denominational, Christ-centered programs in accomplishing these goals.

Educational Values

Our hope is that the children of our community would have opportunities to become thinking, caring, informed, and responsible citizens. To this end we seek projects that provide critical pathways to enhance academic curriculum as well as informal educational opportunities in arts and sciences.

We recognize life-long learning as a goal, and support educational opportunities for all ages.

Community Enrichment

A community is a diverse collection of people sharing responsibilities, reaching out for and nurturing common goals in public interest. We are committed to giving back to the communities that have contributed so much to our family life by advancing programs that we believe will enrich the lives of many others.

Our interests in community enrichment are varied, including medical research, health programs, and facilities to serve our community. We also have a deep love and appreciation for culture and the arts and want to participate in making those opportunities available to others. Together we can accomplish so much more than any one alone. Civic arts is one arena where this aspect of community is apparent.
