Overview

The Impact100 Model The Impact100 model is designed to empower women to see themselves as philanthropists and overcome the barriers women have historically faced in this arena. The model is designed for transformational grant-making within local communities, with a minimum grant size of $100,000. Focus Areas We provide nonprofit organizations with grants in increments of at least $100,000 across five broad Focus Areas: Arts, Culture & HistoryInitiatives that cultivate, develop, enhance or preserve the artistic, cultural, and historical character of the communityEducationInitiatives that expand, improve or further educational opportunities or access to education for children and/or adultsFamilyInitiatives that support strengthening or enhancing the lives of children, families, and seniorsHealth & WellnessInitiatives that improve the mental and/or physical well-being of individuals in the community, improve access to health care, or foster healthy living habits and holistic wellnessEnvironment & RecreationInitiatives that focus on improving, preserving or restoring natural and/or built environments, promoting environmental justice, fighting climate change, and/or promoting conservation or stewardship of living things within the community; Initiatives that create, restore, or revitalize recreational facilities/spaces or enhance community safety Funding Types Types of funding available: Capacity Building:  strengthen or grow a nonprofit organization to improve its future performance, impact, and sustainability in support of its mission and vision, producing measurable results for the organization by the end of the grant period. General Operations:  unrestricted funds that support the general operations of a nonprofit organization and help it fulfill its mission and vision, leading to measurable results for the organization by the end of the grant period. Program Support:  existing initiatives, expansion of initiatives, or new initiatives that target a specific population, last for a specific duration, and aim to achieve specific, measurable results for the organization by the end of the grant period. Funding While you can submit a request for a project or program that totals more than $100,000, Impact100 Houston will fund no more than $100,000. Applicants must plan to expend the full $100,000 grant, though Impact100 Houston may award less funds than the $100,000 based on monies available each year.

Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. Organizations eligible to apply for an Impact100 Houston grant must: Be tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Local affiliates may apply under the 501(c)(3) of the national organization. Have supporting staff located in and serving residents of Harris County, TX. Be able to submit independent audits or financial reviews of the organization's financial statements for two consecutive fiscal years.Each organization may submit only one grant application per year and must choose the one Focus Area in which the proposal will be considered.Impact100 seeks proposals that expend grant funds within 12 months, in the calendar year following the grant award announcement.

Ineligibility

Grants will not be provided for: Debt reduction, operating deficits, interim or bridge funding, or endowment funding. Individuals or private foundations. Activities that are religious or political in nature. Fund drives, annual appeals, fundraising events, or general capital campaigns.
