HP Training Program for Recent High School Grads

Purpose: Intensive, hands-on training program in camera operating for recent high school graduates.

Funding Source: The HP Foundation (founded by actress/singer/philanthropist Ha Phuong)

Program Structure:

  • Two-week intensive course on basic video-making

  • Week 1: Production overview

  • Week 2: Specialized instruction with professional camera operator
  • Opportunities:

  • Selected students tape six NYWIFT events (live-streamed or posted on NYWIFT website)

  • Professional camera person mentorship during each shoot

  • Footage made available for participants' reels
