Overview

NYWIFT Scholarship Fund

Amount: $2,500 per award

Purpose: Provide financial assistance to second-year women students enrolled in graduate film programs to pursue their own projects.

Geographic Scope: New York-based institutions

Eligible Institutions:

  • City College of New York

  • Columbia University

  • New York University

  • Stony Brook/Killer Films MFA in Film program

  • School of Visual Arts (graduating senior award)
  • Eligibility:

  • Second-year women graduate film students

  • Students nominated by faculty at their respective institutions

  • Graduating seniors from School of Visual Arts
  • Background:
    Established in 1995. Has provided assistance to over 50 students since inception. Recent recipients (2016) include Haley Anderson (NYU), Yvonne Ng (CCNY), Hanna Leigh (Columbia), and Emily Laue (Stony Brook/Killer Films).
