Sabrina Wright-Gilliar Scholarship

Amount: $2,500

Purpose: Honor the memory of legendary prop master Sabrina Wright-Gilliar and support female high school seniors pursuing careers in below-the-line film crafts.

Eligible Institution:

Academy for Careers in Television and Film (TvF), Queens, NY

Eligibility:

Female high school seniors graduating from TvF

Must intend to pursue career in below-the-line craft in film, television, or digital media industry

May be applied to:

Post-secondary education expenses

Craft training fees

Union initiation costs

Other expenditures related to becoming a full-time member of NYC film, television, and digital media industry

Background:
Funded by Sabrina Wright-Gilliar's colleagues from "The Good Wife" where she worked as Property Master since 2011. Contributors included Julianna Margulies, Alan Cumming, and Mary Beth Peil. Local 52 Motion Picture Studio Mechanics was a major donor. Honors qualities of determination and creativity.
