Daisy Foundation Founded in 1999 in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, the DAISY Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring the extraordinary compassion and skill of nurses worldwide. Through its flagship DAISY Award® for Extraordinary Nurses, the Foundation partners with healthcare institutions and nursing schools to celebrate nurses, faculty, and students who demonstrate exceptional care and empathy. Guided by its mission to meaningfully recognize nursing excellence and its vision to serve as the global symbol of compassionate healthcare, the DAISY Foundation has grown into an international movement that uplifts and inspires the nursing profession across thousands of organizations around the world. Healing Hands Conference Grants Healing Hands, a leading medical apparel company and a Caresimatic Brand, was created after its founder was hospitalized, having suffered a massive heart attack and undergoing open-heart surgery. He received extraordinary care from his team of compassionate nurses who exceeded science and sensitivity expectations. In the spirit of celebrating extraordinary nurses, the Conference Grant program has awarded over $200,000 to more than 100 DAISY nurses in the U.S. and abroad. Since 2017, Careismatic Brands has been proudly helping extraordinary nurses advance their professional journeys by offering financial grants to DAISY Honorees. These grants, known as Conference Grants, help cover the costs of attending continuing education conferences. Nurses can use the grants toward the conference of their choice*. Open to past and present DAISY Award recipients worldwide, this year’s Conference Grant is gratefully sponsored by Healing Hands, a Careismatic Brand, and The DAISY Foundation. More than 100 Conference Grant recipients (all DAISY Honorees) have taken part in a diverse range of conferences, gaining the necessary tools to further their careers and enhance their skills. ​
