Granum Grant Overview

Purpose: Educational programming, lectures, cultural performances, performing arts, and community-based events

Eligible Applicants:

• Local school districts
• Churches
• Federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organizations

Geographic Scope: Events within Alpena Community College's Granum Theatre and surrounding complex

Funding Includes:

• Full or partial funding for programming
• Use of Granum Theatre and surrounding complex
• Technical audio/visual support
• Support documents indicate marketing costs should be factored into proposal

Award Amount:

• Total funds available fluctuate annually
• No minimum or maximum limits for individual requests
• Requests of $5,000 or less recommended

Granum Grant Application Process

Deadline: Rolling monthly basis - submit at least 4 weeks before proposed event date

Complete Application Includes:

1. Signed Granum Grant - Specifications form
2. Complete Granum Grant Application:
   • Cover Sheet
   • Narratives
   • Budget
   • Facility Contract
3. Supplementals (support literature, biographies, videos/links, etc. to help screening committee understand project)

Support Documents Required (as applicable to applicant type):

For Non-Profit Organizations:

• Copy of 501(c)(3) federal Determination Letter OR copy of most recent 990 form
• Copy of minutes with approved Board resolution in support of Granum Grant request
• List of current Board of Directors
