Overview

Grants for Great Ideas

Purpose: Fund creativity and innovation in classrooms directly impacting student success

Geographic Scope: Celina Independent School District (CISD), Texas

Focus Areas:

  • Classroom innovation and creativity

  • Student achievement and success

  • Educational excellence
  • Award Amount: On average, CEF funds up to $2,500 per grant; however, will fund beyond this amount with grant applications that include substantial support as to why the grant is impactful to student achievement

Track Record: More than $150,000 in grants funded across CISD to date

Eligible Applicants: Teachers and educational staff within CISD

Background: In partnership with the community, the Foundation champions public education and teachers. As CISD experiences exponential growth, state funding has not kept pace with growing educational costs, so CEF provides grants to support district resources in math, science, engineering, and fine arts.
