FACF: Community Grants - Education Grants

The Fremont Area Community Foundation offers Education Grants aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for all learners in Newaygo County. These grants focus on addressing learning loss, supporting Pre-K through 12 projects, expanding college and career training, and providing STEAM and literacy programs. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, government units, and educational institutions that serve the community. Grants will not fund individual projects or religious programming.

Fremont Area Community Foundation exists to enhance the quality of life for all people of Newaygo County and surrounding communities. To achieve our core purpose, we invest in partners who serve residents of Newaygo County, address a community need supported with relevant local data, anticipate the project’s impact, provide realistic budget projections, explain future sustainability plans, and collaborate with community partners.
Through our competitive grantmaking process, the Community Foundation will invest in economic development and placemaking, poverty reduction and family well-being, educational attainment, and the preservation of our natural resources.
Statistics consistently prove that some type of education beyond high school—whether a degree or a technical certification—is necessary for the future of our students and for our local community.
We seek to expand educational opportunities to assist all learners in developing the skills they need to succeed.

Eligibility

Who Can Apply501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organizationsUnits of governmentEducational institutions (preschool through college)Organizations that are located in Newaygo County or directly serve the people of Newaygo County.

Ineligibility

Things Fremont Area Community Foundation typically will not fund:Grants to individuals, the purchase of property, sponsorships of one-time or special events, existing obligations, religious programing requiring affiliation and/or religious instruction, or projects that began prior to award notification.
