Educator Support Fund Overview

Educators and teachers specifically benefit from knowing a community is rallying behind them to achieve great things for students. The ESF funds a variety of initiatives that aim to attract, grow and retain teachers in HISD.

Funding Types

The fund supports:
• "Dream classroom makeover" for new teachers
• Professional development for school counselors
• Funds for excellence in the classroom or school leadership
• Celebration and support of educators

Eligibility

Local: Work in the Houston ISD school district for the 2024-2025 school year (and worked in HISD for 2023-2024)

Committed Teacher: Have expressed interest in continuing your career in the teaching profession for the next 1-3 years

Pre-K to 12: Teach Pre-K through 12th grade
