Eligible Activities (Examples):

• Exhibitions
• Performances
• Festivals
• Arts classes
• Other programs relating to health and wellness
• All activities must be open to the general public

Ineligible Activities:

• Capital expenditures
• Cash prizes
• Hospitality expenses

Eligibility Requirements:

• Non-profit organizations only
• Programs must take place in Cambria and Somerset Counties
• Both new and established programs/projects eligible
• Collaborations between organizations encouraged
• Applicants limited to one grant per cycle

Evaluation Criteria:

• Strength of proposed project goals
• Artistic component quality
• Potential to positively impact health and wellness
• Project management structure
• Budget planning
• Marketing plan

Application Process

1. Visit the Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance (PRAA) website for detailed guidelines
2. Complete the PRAA application form
3. Submit application through PRAA (eligible entities apply to PRAA, not directly to 1889 Foundation)
4. Applications evaluated by 1889 Foundation Creative Health Impact Grants Committee
5. Committee reviews based on project goals, artistic component, and community impact potential
