NOTE: Proposals must be submitted between January 15th and 5:00 p.m. on the last business day of February. The Rosenlund Family Foundation is a private grantmaking organization, created in 1962 through the generosity of Arthur O. Rosenlund. The Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the lives and strengthening the future of under-served children and youth in the Philadelphia area's most disadvantaged neighborhoods. We provide general operating support to neighborhood-based organizations with operating budgets of $2 million or less, whose mission and priorities include high-quality, long-term arts and/or environmental education programming with a focus on fostering knowledge, creativity, interest in the preservation of our natural environment, and that provide the skills necessary to be successful in today's workforce.

Eligibility

The Foundation’s limited resources provide general operating support to high quality, neighborhood based, small and medium sized organizations (operating budgets of $2 million or less) whose priorities and on-going commitment are to long-term arts and/or environmental education programming serving children and youth in the Philadelphia area's most disadvantaged neighborhoods.  Grants are made to organizations located in and serving constituents in the Philadelphia area.Organizations must be classified as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Ineligibility

Individuals, for-profit organizations, and those who do not have their own 501(c)(3) are not eligible for funding.The Foundation does not support pilot/demonstration projects or new initiatives that do not have sufficient committed funding to be sustained over time.The Foundation does not typically make multi-year grants.The following will NOT be considered for funding: Capital projectsElementary, secondary or higher educational institutionsEndowmentsIndividualsPolitical groups or related think tanksFraternal organizationsReligious organizations in support of their sacramental or theological functions
