CPCF Competitive Grants
Geographic Scope: Blair County, PA (organizations must be located in or serve Blair County)
Funder: Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation
Program Overview: The Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation distributes competitive grants to eligible organizations with the goal of bettering the region. Grants are distributed annually to support various charitable causes and community projects.
- Organization Type: Only 501(c)(3) organizations or organizations that qualify for a deductible contribution using IRS rules are eligible
- Charity Status: Must be a qualified organization that meets the 50% limit organization rules
- Geographic Requirement: Organization must be located in or serve Blair County
- Frequency: An organization can only apply for one grant in a twelve (12) month period
- Individuals: The Endowment does not make grants to individuals
Eligibility Requirements
- To promote scientific research for the advancement of knowledge
- To support art, music and culture of all kinds
- To provide scholarships or otherwise assist deserving persons in obtaining an education
- To assist the improvement of living and working conditions for the health and welfare of the community
- To provide facilities for public recreation
- To provide funds to assist in the delivery of medical services

- Grant Policy: No grant applications will be accepted after the published deadline

Grant Application Process
1. Create an Account: Log on to the grant site to create an account and start the grant process
2. Review Guidelines: Read the grant guidelines for unrestricted funds to ensure your organization meets all criteria
3. Complete Application: Fill out the competitive grant application through the online portal
4. Acknowledge Deductibility: Submit an acknowledgement from your organization stating that the donation is a deductible contribution to a 50% limit organization
5. Submit Application: Submit your completed application by the deadline (must be received in the CPCF office by 4:00 p.m. on the final business day in April)
- Submission Deadline: Last business day in April (4:00 p.m. hard deadline - not a postmark deadline)
- Review Period: Applications reviewed by Grants committee in May
- Board Review: Recommendation given to Board of Directors in June for final decision
- Notification: Applicants notified within four (4) weeks after Board decision
