General Operating Support Grants
The Collier Community Foundation provides program grant funding to nonprofits for programs that demonstrate measurable results in addressing community needs. Grant dollars are invested in the following areas:
* Arts/Culture
* Environment
* Education or Employment
* Healthcare or Mental Health
* Human Services
Funding may be requested for general operating support, which includes staffing, technology, communications, administration, small capital items, materials and supplies, etc.
Please note the following:
* Your nonprofit must demonstrate measurable outcomes
* Please be sure your program addresses a documented need or gap in services (see reports, below).
Reports: The Collier Community Foundation™ strategic plan ties its grantmaking to relevant community information from the Community Indicators report found on our website, the most recent Community Needs Assessment funded by the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, as well as other reports such as those available through Future Ready Collier, the 5 Year Mental Health and Substance Abuse Strategic Plan for Collier County (for nonprofits working in mental health and substance abuse), or the Arts and Culture Strategic Plan for Collier County (for nonprofits working in arts, culture and recreation).

* These grant funds are a better fit for smaller nonprofits with budgets of less than or around $1M.
* Applicants must be a tax-exempt nonprofit organization serving Collier County, FL residents.
* Your organization must have a complete and updated profile in our Nonprofit Directory
* Applicant must agree to the Community Foundation’s Statement of Diversity.
* Applicant must seek funding for a project that is relevant to Collier County
Ineligibility
* What is not eligible for competitive grant funding:
* Grants to individuals
* Pass-through organizations that fund other unrelated charities (this includes many valuable civic organizations that fundraise to support other charities)
* Political campaigns
* Lobbying (non-partisan advocacy work is okay)
* Scholarly research
* Annual campaigns
* Event Sponsorships
* Team or sport travel, or team sponsorships
* Travel-related expenses
* Organizations not serving Collier County, Florida
* Faith-based organizations shall not use grants to support inherently religious activities, such as religious worship or evangelization. An organization must take steps to separate, in time or location, their inherently religious activities from the Community Foundation’s funded services. Funding supports only organizations that accept clients/participants from all faiths
