The Longmont branch also awards at least one local scholarship and contributed to major scholarships, fellowships and grants through the national AAUW organization. Community Action Gran The Community Action Grant Fund of the Longmont chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will award a total of $3,000 to nonprofit organizations whose projects meet the following qualifications: Projects will have a particular focus on the AAUW mission of promoting education and equity for (primarily) women and girls.Projects will be nonpartisan in nature and will fall within the geographic boundary of the St. Vrain Valley School District. Funding If the grant recipient is unable to use the grant money for the designated project, the award money shall be returned to the Longmont Community Foundation and placed back into the AAUW Community Action Grant Fund.
