RESEARCH SHOWS THAT WHEN A CULTURE EQUALLY VALUES AND EXTENDS EQUAL AUTHORITY AND OPPORTUNITIES TO MALES AND FEMALES, THESE COMMUNITIES EXPERIENCE LOWER INCIDENTS OF FEMALE ABUSE AND ARE MORE ECONOMICALLY VIABLE.
