CHESAPEAKE BAY TRUST IS A PUBLIC, NONPROFIT GRANT-MAKING ORGANIZATION CREATED TO PROMOTE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF AND PARTICIPATION IN THE RESTORATION AND PROTECTION OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY AND ITS TRIBUTARIES. (SEE SCHEDULE O FOR CONTINUATION) SINCE ITS ESTABLISHMENT IN 1985 BY THE MARYLAND GENERAL ASSEMBLY, THE TRUST HAS AWARDED MORE THAN $140 MILLION IN THE AREAS OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION, ON-THE-GROUND RESTORATION AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH.
