NOTE: Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all funding is expended. All proposals must be received at least eight weeks prior to the start of the proposed projects. Introduction The Anne Arundel County Forestry Board, City of Annapolis, and the Chesapeake Bay Trust announce a partnership to provide small community-based grants (up to $5,000) to help communities and organizations increase the number of trees and tree canopy in neighborhoods, parks, and communities throughout Anne Arundel County, including the City of Annapolis. Neighborhood by neighborhood, community stewardship projects are helping to raise public awareness about the health of our region’s tree canopy, watersheds, air quality, streams, rivers, and the Bay, as well as the steps that can be taken to restore and protect them. What this funds: Community tree plantings and invasive species removal in Anne Arundel County and City of Annapolis.
