In November 2024, ArtsFairfax announced Angelique Palmer as the 2024-2027 Fairfax County Poet Laureate. Palmer is a performance poet, kindergarten teacher, and spoken word instructor who was ranked fifth among women poets in the world in 2015 and currently ranks 19th among the top 96 performing poets globally.
