NOTE: Applicants will be notified of the status of their application approximately 6-8 weeks after submitting; please be sure to submit your application a minimum of 6-8 weeks before your project/program start date.Mission Humboldt Area Foundation and Wild Rivers Community Foundation's strategic goals of racial equity, just economic development, healthy ecosystems and environments, and thriving youth and families drive our funding priorities and resource allocation. Our grants aim to minimize vulnerability and increase equity to strengthen institutions, providers and leaders across our rural and native lands. Youth Leadership Fund Grants from the Youth Leadership Fund support K-12 youth leadership development regionally, with an emphasis in the areas of environment, sustainability and community responsibility. Organizations must demonstrate how their program, project, or efforts will affect the local environment, community at large and youth leadership development specifically. Please include clear and measureable outcomes that demonstrate these three areas. We welcome and encourage projects supporting underserved, and historically marginalized and oppressed communities. We also recognize that youth leadership activities look different based on race, culture and other areas. The committee seeks to fund projects that are responsive and reflective of the unique needs and qualities of the diverse communities within Humboldt County. We value projects that include support from other partners or organizations, and welcome examples of these collaborations. Please also provide evidence of past success with similar projects or funding, if available. Maximum grant size of $1,500.Eligibility
