Humboldt Area Foundation Who We Are Thriving, Healthy, Just, Equitable. That’s the vision Humboldt Area Foundation and Wild Rivers Community Foundation has for our region. This vision is implemented through four decade-long goals of increasing racial equality, supporting thriving youth and families, growing healthy ecosystems and environments, and bolstering a just economy. Humboldt Area Foundation and Wild Rivers Community Foundation (HAF+WRCF) serve the residents of Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity counties in California and Curry County in Oregon, including the region’s Tribal Nations and historically indigenous territories. We support our four-county region through a strategic vision of: Racial EquityThriving Youth & Families Healthy Ecosystems & Environments A Just Economy & Economic Development Victor Thomas Jacoby Award Established by Victor before his death in 1997 at age 52, this fund is dedicated to supporting Humboldt County visual artists and craftspeople and to encouraging the exploration of new ideas, materials, techniques, mediums and images, as well as excellence. The application will ask artists to discuss their artistic medium, describe their project, and explain how funding would be utilized. Artists will be asked to upload 10 samples of their work. The fund supports up to 4 awards of $10,000 each.Eligibility
