Women’s Giving Circle Grant

The Women’s Giving Circle, supported by the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, focuses on empowering women and children by funding projects that promote self-sufficiency and address barriers to opportunity. Grants of up to $5,000 are available for eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits that demonstrate a clear impact. The Circle encourages innovative proposals that enhance quality of life, support equity, and foster sustainable solutions within the community.

The Mission of the Women’s Giving Circle is:
Each year, the Women’s Giving Circle makes grants to nonprofits to support projects or programs that help women/children your organization serves gain self-sufficiency and/or significantly addresses barriers to opportunity for women/children.
In keeping with its tradition of serving the nonprofit community with many types of gifts, nonprofits are also encouraged to share their needs for volunteers and goods or supplies on the application.
Funding
The Women’s Giving Circle supports one-year awards of up to $5,000.

Eligibility

501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that have been in active service to the public for at least one year prior to the application are eligible.Requests for funding should clearly demonstrate how the grant will be used to help women and children gain self-sufficiency; and/or significantly address barriers to opportunities for women and children.A maximum of 15% of the project budget may include operating funds i.e. employed workers, fixed and flexible expenses, and other business costs.Only one proposal may be submitted per organization.

Ineligibility

The following are EXCLUDED from consideration:Organizations that promote a particular religious or political ideologyCapital projects and campaignsDinner galas, advertising, and other special fundraising eventsPrograms to be implemented outside of the CFGD service areaPrograms receiving funding from the Circle the previous year (the same organization may apply for a different program each year).
